Project Synopsis
Pulse utilizes modern medical technology and electromagnetic pulses to stimulate a magnetic suspension liquid known as Ferrofluid. To trigger this reaction users rest their wrists on a podium that measures their heart rate using optical sensors. Once a pattern is detected and interpreted by a microprocessor the information is converted to an electrical pulse and sent to the amplifier powering electromagnets hidden behind the display screen located at the front of the podium. As the electromagnets pulse, ferrofluid is pulled from its hidden reservoir and dispersed across the display area with ebbs and flows correlating to the heart's beat.
